MORGAN ASHLEY'S FOUR YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Four years ago today, Morgan Ashley Studio Salon opened it's doors for the first time. No, it's no April Fool's joke, Morgan opened her Salon with only herself as Stylist, in a location that had very limited traffic and very little space. The negatives were obviously outweighed by her total faith in what she was doing. After a year in business, she gained 2 more stylists and the walls in that little space seemed to be getting smaller by the day. By 2007, Morgan had 8 Stylists approach her begging to work for her. Now, on April Fool's Day 2009 Morgan Ashley Studio Salon has over 15 staff members, a brand new studio and has become a part of Bumble and Bumble network. We are so blessed and so thankful for all of you!

Bumble and Bumble Gels and Gelacs have finally arrived at Morgan Ashley!

BABY NEWS

Well, life is just full of wonderful surprises for us lately. We are thinking it must be baby season for the Morgan Ashley Staff! We are very proud to announce that Morgan, Alison and Amber are all pregnant with their first babies and we are all so excited we get to share this adventure with them. Their due dates range from November through December, so we will keep you posted!

MORGAN ASHLEY'S WINTER WONDERLAND

The mere mention of "snow" in Alabama sends the public into a frenzy. Everyone rushes out to the store to buy a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk. You know we've all done it before at some point! It's really comical how big a deal snow can be in the South, but there's definitely no denying how beautiful it is! We hope you enjoy the photos.

OFF TO BUMBLE AND BUMBLE..

As most of you are aware, Morgan Ashley Studio Salon is an exclusive Bumble and Bumble Salon Being able to go to Bumble and Bumble University is such an incredible opportunity and we make it a top priority for our Stylists to go as often as possible. This past week Emily (Bumble Salon Educator), Shelley (Salon Coordinator), and Morgan were at Bumble in New York getting extensive training in order to offer our Salon the most current sought after services. We are now anticipating their returning and can not wait for them to share their knowledge with us!

In memory of Lorie Johnson....

After a long journey of battling Breast Cancer, Lorie Johnson passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009. Although we didn't know Loire very long, her faith and love for the Lord has had such a profound impact on us all. We will never forget her warm presence and contagious smile. There is no doubt in that Lorie is in Heaven right now, Cancer free with no more pain! But for now our thoughts and prayers turn to the ones she left behind who loved her so dearly. Daryl's family has a long road ahead and will need all the support they can get. Our heart goes out to Lorie's mother who just recently lost her husband before Thanksgiving, and now her daughter.
As for the money we raised on the Johnson's behalf in hopes they would all get to go to Disney World, we will instead be giving it to Daryl as I'm sure they will be in need. Thank you to everyone who participated and let's all remember what life is all about and how short it really is. Lorie has had such an impact on so many people by the way she lived her life and how selfless she was. How would you be remembered? Let's all truly strive to live each day if it were our last, because you never know...
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.Psalms 116:15

There are so many wonderful programs out there dedicated to helping families in need during the Holidays. However, we at Morgan Ashley Studio Salon have something different weighing on our hearts and minds this year. One of our own clients has been battling cancer since she was pregnantwith her second son, Zachary. It has been such a roller coaster for Daryl and Lorie Johnson, but somehow each time they visit us, they always have a big smile on their face and seem to refuse to let their circumstance defeat them. It is so obvious to us what a higher appreciation they have for life and how precious it is. Nothing puts life more in perspective than to see a family who has endured so much, continue to stay positive and not grow bitter. Recently, as if the Johnson family had not been through enough, Lorie’s father passed away very suddenly before Thanksgiving. Since the Johnson’s have been such an inspiration to all of us at Morgan Ashley, we have decided to send them to Disney World to make memories with their children that will, undoubtedly, last a lifetime. The Salon has designated one week in which each stylist will choose a day to dedicate their services to fund the Johnson’s trip. All
proceeds, including tips, throughout the week of December 16- 20 will be donated to make a wish come true for Daryl and Lorie. We will also be accepting donations from anyone who would like to participate. A dedication wall will set up to honor all of whom have so generously donated. We strongly encourage everyone to learn more about Lorie’s story at:
